Day 6

Day 6: Warrington to Bentham

Day 6. The start of a few shorter days! 64 mile today. Leaving Warrington, we travel north to Leigh and then past Bolton, riding along side Old Links Golf Course. Moving through Belmont and onto Blackburn for our first stop and food which will be very welcomed after 30 mile.

After fuelling up we’ve got a nice steady 15 mile before we reach the glorious hills of the Forest of Bowland and after a short while hit the village of Slaidburn. From here we climb over the Cross Of Greet which is the highest peak of the day at 1400ft.

We’ll absorb some nice views and scenery including the Big Stone before we come down into Bentham where we stay for the night.
